Tampa loves Bobby!

Soundcheck magazine, dubbed Tampa’s ultimate music guide, gave Bobby rave reviews for his recent show at Dunedin Brewery.

Throughout the evening, a shaggy-haired Long showed his love for Elliott Smith, Gram Parsons and Nick Drake, though his take on sad, twangy folk always seemed very much original, relevant and engaging. Perhaps his most stunning performance came on Two Years Old, inspired by his grandfather, a pilot in WWII.

The best news (for all you Florida residents) is that Dunedin’s general manager, Travis Krueger, confirmed what we posted earlier about Bobby’s worst-kept-secret-secret show this Thursday.

If you missed Long on Sunday, you have another chance to catch him this Thursday. He’ll play an impromptu, “not-so-secret, secret show” at 7 p.m. said Dunedin Brewery general manager Travis Krueger.

“He loved the venue, and us here at the venue liked him quite a bit, and we see A LOT of live music,” Kruger said. “So we are very happy there will be another opportunity not only for his fans to see him but also to try to turn more people on to his music.”
