Marcus is Working Hard on His Thesis!
What has Marcus been up to? Why has he been so quiet?
Wow. I must say I’m a bit jealous cause all I lack to get my Master’s degree is my thesis but I’m too effing lazy far too busy with work to get it done. Kudos to you, cause if I had the option of touring the world or locking myself in a cupboard to finish my degree, well, I think it’s obvious which one I would choose. By the way, I love English terminology. A cupboard? Is Harry Potter in there with you and you are under the stairs?
Lucky for you Marcus, I used to be an academic adviser! (Yes, I have worn many hats in this life!) I thought it would probably be best to pull together some tips for after graduation, once you join all of us out in the real world.
My tips for Marcus, after the jump!
1. Be sure to send out plenty of resumes. And while I know you love London, consider saturating the U.S. marketplace. I know several women employers who would be interested in bringing you on board.
2. Practice the job interview in the mirror before you go. We know you get a bit shy in front of people, so this may help you. If the interview starts going south, then just start singing. The interviewer will forget once they hear your voice!
3. The real world sucks. You are going to have to sleep on some couches in this life. LiLi and I both offer our own couches for you! 
I’m also telling you now Marcus, me and LiLi fully expect an invitation to your graduation. You know its always better to send them to everyone so you can get the most gifts possible. Hello, what’s the point of graduating if you don’t get to reap the benefits? Plus, I just want to come and take a picture with you in a cap and gown. C’mon, it would be totes adorable!

I would like to add to Amber’s Helpful Real World Tips.
4. When choosing your interview/first day on the job/every day on the job outfit, get a woman to look you over before you head out the door. None of your mates seem to be able to dress themselves competently (other than Sam, and he can’t help you from Canada) and while it is adorable and we wouldn’t change that about them, we aren’t the ones you are trying to impress here. Every button should line up with a button hole. You don’t have to button them ALL (a la Bobby), but extras at either end are not good (a la Rob). Also, if there’s a buttonhole and no button to be found anywhere to match it up, grab a different shirt and put that one in the pile for TomStu to mend. If he suggests lending you a sweater (jumper) to cover the missing button, DON’T. We’ve seen the ones he wears, and, um, they really wouldn’t look right on you. Trust.
Best of luck on the thesis! When you plan that next US tour, please include more Southern dates, like Atlanta and Montgomery/Birmingham. Your Florida fans would like a visit also.
