In case you’ve missed it, both myself and LiLi (the brains behind this kick ass blog!) are going to be at 3 upcoming shows for the Brit boys; Sam Bradley’s show in Dallas on Nov. 21, Bobby Long’s show in Oklahoma City on Dec. 7 and Bobby Long’s show in Dallas on Dec. 8. We’ve had such a great response and so many of you want to meet us while we are at the show, which is just crazy exciting for us!
So, here is our idea: SoS Fan Meetups!! Approximately an hour and a half to two hours before the doors open, we’d like to host meetups at nearby restaurants where all of us can meet and chat before going to the concerts. We figure this will be an easier way for all of us to see each other before the show rather then trying to search during the concert (although it’s guarunteed LiLi and I will be by the bar).
But, before we go through any of the planning, I want to make sure you all are interested and will attend. We don’t have plans on charging anything to attend, and we don’t know exactly what the format will be yet. I know we’d love to do some giveaways and such, but of course that is all still in the planning stages.
Here is what we need from you all. I have set up a poll and we need you to vote for which meetups you would attend. We also have potential places listed, although these may change once we start making phone calls and seeing what we can set up. If we get enough interest, then we will move forward and start booking rooms!

I voted for Bobby’s Dallas show. I’m still contemplating, but that’s the one of the 3 that I would be able to attend. And, of course, I still have to add my one caveat. I can’t decide until Marcus releases his Dec tour dates. =)
Yes, we need Marcus dates and soon! LiLi and I are hoping to make at least one of his shows, too! If we do, then we’ll do a meetup then, too.
I feel like I’m in no man’s land!! I refuse to make any plans until Marcus releases his info. Both Bobby and Sam are coming here (Minneapolis) but I want to go to out of town shows and visit all the kick ass ladies I’ve met from past shows…. Marcus needs to tell meeeeeeee!

Oh no kidding! I actually refused to make plans to visit my in-laws for Christmas because I was afraid Marcus would come here while I was gone! I don’t think I scored many points for that one…LOL Oh well a girl has to have her priorities. I’ll drop anything for him!
I love how all of us are willing to practically sell our first born to get back to a Marcus show! I wonder if Marcus realizes how much we love him!
You girls are funny – I’m scared to death that something will come up that prevents me from attending both the Sam Bradley show on Nov. 21 and Bobby’s show on Dec. 6th. I told my husband that I was going on the 21st too and that “o well” guess we’re not traveling the weekend before Thanksgiving! Crazy stuff.

I actually also have tickets to Bobby’s show in Dallas because I bought them prior to the announcement of him being in OKC (which is a lot closer seeing as I live in Stillwater) but since I’m going to his show on the 7th I’m not going on the 8th (even though I still think I should lol). And since we are shouting out drink orders…me thinks I will be downing vodka and cranberry juice…gave me a nice drizzunk last time at the guys’ show in Dallas so…. Anyhoo, my point to this rant is-I think meeting up prior is a fantasmo idea. My friend is coming with me to both shows and she actually isn’t a fan…YET!!!! She has heard of them and is excited about going just because it’s something to do but I don’t know how to express to her how amazing they are so she will have to see for herself and I think meeting up with you ladies before will help her see that I’m not the only one that totally fangirls all over these brit boys. (I love that I just used the word fangirl as a verb!!!!). Ok enough procrastinating at work…bye ladies!!!!

I know…it’s hard to believe that as hard and as often as I am panting after them that she has not came around and fangirled with me. That’s why I’m hoping these two shows will pave the way for her (or bust her as you so eloquently put it hahahahaha). And meeting before hand will be like the cherry *giggles* on top.

The Conservatory (used to be the old Green Door) is really small. It doesn’t fit too many people as it is…so I really doubt that you’d need to do promotions for the show other than the stuff you’re doing now.
Maybe a mention in the Gazette? But the Conservatory has a twitter/myspace/website that’s publicizing the event too.
But if you need media contacts…I’m in OKC as well…and in PR. I’ve got my good ol spreadsheet handy.
