Sam Says He Rushed & New Marcus Videos!
Do these 2 things have anything to do with one another? No. But hey, we are posting something so you are happy, right? Right!! (P.S. Lots of stuff going on behind the scenes. Don’t think we’ve just forgotten about you all!)
First up… Sam!
Sam tells ChartAttack that he felt a bit rushed in putting out his first EP, and only put out 6 of the 16 songs he recorded:
“Although I had an audience before, this was obviously a far greater one,” he says. “I was going to make an album probably two or three months later. I was ready to be heard but I maybe wasn’t ready to record.”
“I believed in the songs so much and I didn’t feel that all of them had reached their potential,” he says. “I definitely felt the need to release something. I feel like once you release something you can’t really release it again… I picked six songs that displayed some diversity and showed a little light and dark as far as the subject matter and vocal performance goes.”

Oh Wow – I didn’t realize Marcus played piano – can’t say I’m surprised. He is so talented. I am really bummed because I won’t be seeing him in Dallas – it’s just too close to Bobby playing on the 8th and my family might disown me if I head to Dallas again 2 days later. Do you think Marcus will come back through???? I’m going to be very grumpy on the 10th knowing he’s so close, yet so far away.
Do it! Come back down for it!! The fam will get over it, non?

Um. Yeah. Imma need Marcus to stop covering Tom Waits songs– mah poor heart can’t take it. And by heart, I mean undies. Just sayin….
