Happy Birthday Marcus!!

Another year older already. It sucks, right? This whole getting older business. Gah!
If you thought I was going to just let this day pass by and then on Christmas pull that crap of, “Oh, this is your birthday and Christmas gifts” you were wrong. I’d never do that. Not to the first member of the Shack to give me a completely uninitiated hug. ::sigh:: Memories.
And on this day, the day of your birth, I got you just a few little things…
1. A book of U.S. Geography. And then I will burn it in front of you and make s’mores. You never need to know that Oklahoma City to Dallas is a 50 minute plane ride, gate to gate. Now, another hug is in order…
2. A special frame for your degree, cause finishing your Masters is all kinds of amazing when your other option is touring all across the U.S. and having women scream at you.
3. A one year membership to the Love Shack (Psst…LiLi…it’s totally a porn site. I googled it. ::facepalm::)
4. And one of these things. I just want one picture with you were you smile and don’t look so serious. And if I have to force, well, then I will.
So, a BIG happy birthday from me! Here’s hoping people don’t screw you by combining gifts. If so, please send me there names and I’ll take care of them. ::balls fists::

The new version is way better than the old. Don’t ask how I know.
2. A hamburger cake, for obvious reasons….they are awesome.
3. Two tickets to the Greyhound Bus Museum over in Hibbing, Minnesota….along with a commemorative brick, with your and Frank’s names on it, so you both can Be Part of The Dream.
4. And of course a big ol’ full frontal hug where I also stroke your hair!! None of this side hugging business. Duh.

Here’s hoping you don’t get any combination Christmas/birthday gifts because that just sucks. And I say that from experience as someone who also has a holiday birthday *coughdec23cough*.
I actually planned my kids accordingly in order to avoid this issue. Don’t need peeps punking out on my kids, that’s fo sho!
great post, Happy Birthday, Marcus! So cute….I saw him last week in Boston and he’s JUST as you described him (you guys are the best)….shy, adorable, awesome! He hung out, took pix and signed a CD for me. And no, he had never been to Boston before and I was able to buy him a heiny. I just loved him.

As a fellow December-birthday baby, I also hope no one combines your gifts- that is TOTAL suck! Although, 2-part gifts that go together are always welcome – By that I mean something like a coloring book & crayons, not a pair of socks wrapped individually.
Now if we can just get you back down South this next year, preferably lower than Nashville… say, Montgomery or Atlanta? Florida would love to see you, too! (There ya go, MsJBell- gave you a plug!)
Oh, and the Love Shack is IN Montgomery! The original one, the B-52′s one… on Atlanta Hwy. Awesome late-night BBQ!

Happy Birthday Marcus!!! And agreed, here’s to no gift combining. I’m a January baby so people are just broke by my birthday. I guess we all have our cross to bare. We love you in Dallas Marcus, so come back to see us soon.
