Yes, you are correct. There are hundreds and hundreds of shows that play during the 5 day music period, many of which get lost in the shuffle. But there are also many that don’t get invited either, so, to me, earning a spot in their showcase and a chance to be a part of it at all is a big deal.

To be fair…Something like 1400 bands play SXSW every year, including bands no one has ever heard of. And considering Bobby only has one – maybe two – shows… and shows that I’m not, at all, reading about in the music press – it’s not THAT big a deal.
Sorry if that’s pissy, but anyway.
