ohaithere Mark Kerrey!!

Man. Our stalking investigation skills have been ON this past week. I mean, with all the Marcus and magicness, I feel that I should keep the party going.

But how, you ask? How could I top MAGICNESS??

Well, never you fear dear readers.  We have plenty o’ google alerts tricks up our sleeves!  For today’s show I give you Mark Kerrey from The Men the Sam Bradley Band singing solo!!

word, Mark.  WORD.

Mark performed recently at Frederico’s Poppy Cafe in Vancouver and luckily someone got a few songs of his on video:

Videos were found on RobbedMyHeart’s YouTube Channel.  Go check out her page as she has a ton of other vids from some other artists you might know.  I am not going to name names….but they might rhyme with Mam Schmadley, Farcus Moster and maybe even a couple of Slindsey’s singing too.

Happy Humpday, y’all!

Now, leave some love for Mark, yeah?? And don’t forget to follow him on twitter.  And while you’re at it, do you follow us?? Er…please to be getting on that.

Sam “Busking It Up” on the Streets of Vancouver

Is it even appropriate to use the term “busking it up”? Probably not, but I did. Love it.

In case you’ve been living under a rock lately, Sam has been raising money for War Child, and has blown his original goal of $400 by raising over $2,000. In fact, you can still help out by sponsoring Sam Bradley!

Part of his fundraising also included him and several other artists “Busking for Change” on the streets of Vancouver yesterday. “Busking” is street performing for money, and of course all the money he raised was donated to War Child.

Since LiLi and I are both so lucky to not only live in the states but also probably just about as far from Canada as you can get, we found Mila (aka @canuckleheado7) who DID get to see Sam yesterday, as well as got a ton of pictures and videos.

Despite the cold and dreary Vancouver weather, the artists played host to a handful of small crowds and smiling passersby from 10:00am to 6:00pm. My friends and I caught some of the bands, but we mostly supported Sam Bradley (and his sister Grace Lindsey) throughout the event.

Mila has EVERYTHING on her own blog, laugh.play.dream.live, which you should defiently check out (including another new version of No Diggity, since you all go crazy for that one!). She was so kind enough to allow us to post a couple pictures and a video over here, just to tease you and make you go and see the rest, which you will NOT regret!

I had to post Scared, 1) Cause it’s one of my fave Sam songs and 2) Because I love the appearance by Santa at the end!!

Update! Eyes of Amber has a few more of Sam busking! Be sure to check those out as well!!

A blog, a video and a chance to help…

Yesterday, via his twitter account, Sam announced that he posted a new blog on his myspace page and that he recorded a Christmas song for us to enjoy. The video is only available for download on his official website. You have to “add it to your cart” but it is completely free.

Sam’s blog entry also informed us of a new cause he is helping to support.  He, along with several other artists, will be taking to the streets of Vancouver on December 18th, to help in Busking for Change.  All the money raised while “busking” will go to War Child Canada.

“War Child Canada is a registered Canadian charity dedicated to providing urgently needed humanitarian assistance to war-affected children around the world. War Child Canada helps generate awareness, support and advocacy for children’s rights everywhere.” — War Child Canada Mission Statement

For more info on this fantastic cause, please visit the War Child official site.

Don’t live in the Couve or anywhere near?? No worries, you can still help out by donating here.  Or shop War Child’s music store where they have some kick ace compilation albums for sale.

You can read Sam’s full blog post here.  And make sure that you are following him on Twitter too, so you won’t miss an update.

More vids for your viewing pleasure!

Sam and The Men ended their tour this past Saturday in Vancouver with two shows.  One was an instore performance and the other was later that night (supporting Justin Nozuka) at the Commodore.  Naturally, I trolled the ol’ interwebs searching for some vids for you guys.  This time I hit gold as I came across not only some gorgeous video of the guys at the Commodore but also of their instore performance at Neptoon Records! Check them out below:
